How to Make Brooms from Coconut Husk

Good morning, greetings crafts. See you again with me, after a full 10 days I did not update this blog. Busyness forced offline world I vacuum first of this blog. Like yesterday for one week I underwent "ospek" and OKPT in UNNES. Exhausting anyway, but it would be wonderful memories hehe.
But thank God I can now actively share knowledge back to my friend all about crafts. In this post I will try to make brooms from coconut fiber. Already know it? I have not know, ya like this picture:

Tools and Materials:


  • Coir / time oil 2 eggs
  • Bamboo splinter or branch has a length of 1 m
  • mines from coconut husk
  • Magnitude less than 2-3 mm long 6 m
  • Small scale bamboo splinter 3-4 mm length 20 cm
  • Wood beater and stone foundation
  • Wire brush (can be made with small nails embedded into the wood like a brush)
  • Knives / machetes and needles sack

How to Make :


  • Coir (Tepes) was hit at that meat fiber loose.
  • Coir that has been pounded brushed off that short fibers
  • Made short fiber rope
  • Long fiber coir rope tied to the edges with a magnitude less than a handful finger
  • each 1 piece of broom consists of four (4) separate the roots of coir fiber and 1 bunch is directly tied to the end of the broom handle
  • Small bamboo splinter punctures on fiber bonding proverbial tip of the stalk as the shoulder (shoulder)
  • Fourth stab fiber bonding in the right shoulder and the left stalk each two (2) tie
  • Tie the end of part coir over the shoulder stalk
  • Sweep ready to wear
